How to enable static rates in Ratestream

  1. Convert legacy <stream-cell> tags
    1. Convert any remaining <stream-cell> tag to use the ratestream shortcode. Important all instances of  <stream-cell> must be replaced, as they will not be populated
      1. Ex: <stream-cell uid="xyz" col="xyz"></stream-cell> becomes [stream-cell uid="xyz" col="xyz"/]
  2. Generate a RateStream sync key
    1. In Ratestream, in the upper right corner, click your name to open the dropdown menu
    2. From the menu, select Settings
    3. On the settings page, click "Ratestream Sync Key". This option is only available to admin users. If you do not see this option, please contact Metrifi support to identify your organization's admin user(s).
    4. On the Ratestream Sync Key page, select Get Sync Key. If you see the message, "no rates domain is set," please contact Metrifi Support before proceeding. Your domain will need to be validated by support before static rates will work.
    5. Copy the generated key for use in the next step.
  3. In WordPress, add your Sync Key and enable static rates
    1. In the sidebar, click RateStream.
    2. In the ratestream settings, make sure your environment is set to "production"
    3. Change the Data Source field to "Database"
    4. Add your Sync key in the webhook secret field
    5. Save changes.
  4. Refresh your Ratestream Config and Run the initial sync
    1. In the Rates stream settings, click "Refresh Ratestream Config."
    2. Click "Sync Ratestream Rates
  5. Verify Rates
    1. At this point, your rates should be served from the local database. Review your product and rate pages, and ensure no rates are missing.
    2. If rates are missing, first try clearing your browser cache.
    3. If clearing the cache does not resolve the issue, review the page settings and ensure you are using the Ratestream shortcode.
    4. If the issue persists, please contact Metrifi Support for assistance.

After the initial, rate changes should be persisted to your site within 1 minute of publication.
